Calabasas to Chatsworth
There are two easy ways in. The fast route takes the 101 (Ventura Freeway) east and then De Soto Avenue north through Woodland Hills into Chatsworth, about 13 miles and 20 minutes or so. If the 101 is backed up, Topanga Canyon Boulevard runs straight north from the 101 to Chatsworth and is a little shorter in distance.

What Calabasas orders
Calabasas is a small city, about 23,000 people at the 2020 census, but its orders lean premium.
Boutique and streetwear brands
Small brands here want heavyweight blanks, garment dyed colors and clean, minimal prints. DTF suits that well: it prints full color with a soft hand, and it works on the thick cotton tees and fleece that premium lines use. Two things to watch:

Making a premium print look premium
- Size it for the garment. A boxy heavyweight tee can carry a 12 inch wide back print. A fitted women's tee looks better around 9 to 10 inches.
- Use negative space. Let the shirt color show through the design instead of printing a solid rectangle. It feels lighter and breathes better.

- Press carefully. 300°F, high pressure, 10 seconds, peel hot. Then a 5 second post-press with a cover sheet to set the finish.
