Ordering by size is the simplest way to buy DTF transfers. Every transfer comes out at the width you choose, ready to cut and press.
It suits repeat logos, single designs and anyone who would rather skip laying out a sheet. When you have lots of different designs or sizes, a gang sheet usually gets you more for the money.
Before you order
Size for the smallest garment
Pressing across youth, women’s and adult cuts? Pick a width that still fits the smallest one in the run.
Order a few spares
Unpressed transfers keep for 6 to 12 months, so a spare or two covers a crooked press or a late reorder.
Common sizes, width first
Every size is the design width. Height follows your artwork, so a wide logo and a tall logo at the same width print at different heights.
- Left chest
- Small logos over the heart. Most shops land between 3 and 4 inches wide.
- Full front
- The main print on a tee or hoodie. Adult shirts usually run 10 to 12 inches wide, with youth and smaller cuts running smaller.
- Back
- Back prints can go as wide as the front or wider, as long as the garment has room for it.
- Sleeves and hats
- Keep these narrow. Sleeve hits and hat fronts are usually a few inches wide.
By size or gang sheet?
Both are the same transfer and press the same way. The difference is how you order.

Send art that prints clean
A quick check before you upload saves a reprint.
Transparent background
Export a PNG with a transparent background. Anything that is not transparent prints, including a white box around a logo.
Real resolution
Build the art at the size you plan to print, around 300 DPI. A small image stretched bigger will print soft.
No faded edges
Soft shadows, glows and semi-transparent pixels do not print the way they look on screen. Use solid color wherever you can.

Press at 300°F for 10 seconds with high pressure, peel hot right away, then post-press for 5 seconds.

Is there a minimum?
No minimums. Order a single transfer if that is what you need.
Should I order by size or build a gang sheet?
By size is easiest for one or two designs. For lots of designs or sizes, a gang sheet fits more onto one print.
Can I apply transfers with a household iron?
Yes, but they will not last as long as a heat press application. For shirts that get washed often, use a press.
What are the press settings?
300°F, high pressure, 10 seconds. Peel hot right away, then post-press for 5 seconds.
When will my order ship?
Orders placed before 1PM PT ship the same business day. Local pickup is also available in Chatsworth.
