DTF transfer cost comes down to size. Most suppliers charge by area, by sheet, or by piece, and bigger designs cost more. At Infynite you pay by the square inch, and the rate drops as your order grows, down to as low as $0.03 per square inch.

How DTF pricing works
Shop around and you'll see four common pricing models. They can look very different on the page, but they're all charging for the same thing in the end: how much film and ink your designs use.
Per square inch
You pay for the area of each design. Width times height, times the rate. It's the easiest to predict because you can do the math before you order.
Per sheet
You pay for a whole sheet, often priced by length, and fit as many designs on it as you can. A well-packed sheet can be a great deal. A half-empty one isn't.
Per piece
Each transfer has a set price by size bracket, like "up to 4 inches" or "up to 12 inches." Simple to read, but a design just over a bracket line jumps to the next price.
Tiered
The price per piece or per sheet drops as quantity goes up. Good if you order big. It also means small orders pay more per transfer.
What drives DTF cost
- Size. The biggest factor by far. Double the width and height and you've used four times the area.
- Quantity. With tiered pricing, more pieces lower the unit price. With flat pricing, it doesn't change.
- Specialty finishes. Glitter, puff, glow, and foil usually cost more than standard DTF.
- Speed and shipping. Rush fees and shipping can add a lot to a small order.
- Wasted space. On sheet pricing, empty space still costs you.
Color count doesn't matter with DTF. A one-color logo and a full color photo at the same size cost the same.
Our pricing: as low as $0.03 per square inch
We price by area, and the more you order, the lower your rate per square inch, down to $0.03. No minimums, no coupons to chase. Orders over $75 ship free.
To estimate a transfer, multiply the design's width by its height in inches, then multiply by your rate. The builder shows your exact price before you check out.
Worked examples at $0.03
These use our lowest rate, so think of them as the floor. Smaller orders price a little higher, and the builder shows the exact number.
| Placement | Size | Area | Price |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hat front | 4.5 x 2.5 in | 11.25 sq in | $0.34 |
| Left chest | 3.5 x 3.5 in | 12.25 sq in | $0.37 |
| Front print | 10 x 10 in | 100 sq in | $3.00 |
| Full back | 11 x 14 in | 154 sq in | $4.62 |
A bigger order
Say you're printing 20 shirts with a left chest logo and a full back. That's 166.25 square inches per shirt, or about $4.99 per shirt in transfers at $0.03. Twenty shirts comes to roughly $100, which clears $75, so shipping is free.
A small order
A dozen left chest logos is a small order, so your rate per square inch will sit a bit above $0.03. There's still no minimum to hit. Just know shipping applies under $75, so it can pay to add a few extras or combine orders, which also moves you toward a lower rate.

Gang sheet pricing
Gang sheets work a little differently. The builder prices by sheet size, and you pay for the sheet no matter how much of it you fill. Sheet sizes are listed in the builder. The trick is to pack it tight so you get the most transfers for the price. See how to make a gang sheet for layout tips.
If you'd rather not lay out a sheet, upload by size instead. Both options live in the same builder.
How to keep your cost down
- Right-size your designs. An inch off each side of a big print saves real money across a run.
- Order spares in one go. Bigger orders get a lower rate, and unpressed transfers last 6 to 12 months stored flat, cool, and dry.
- Combine orders. Get over $75 and shipping is free.
- Press a test shirt. One test beats a stack of reprints.
